About the role

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will practice at an advanced clinical level, providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, referral, and care coordination for patients presenting to the clinic. Working both autonomously and collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, you will deliver evidence-based care while contributing to service development, quality improvement, education, and clinical leadership initiatives.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Demonstrate autonomy, accountability, and competence for advanced practice in providing client-focused care within a nursing model including advanced health assessment of consumer's/patient's clinical condition, development, and implementation of appropriately documented management plan.
  • Provide specialist nursing interventions that demonstrate an advanced level of nursing knowledge and skills in the practice area of the practice area of urgent, same day healthcare services, and for minor injuries and illnesses in the community.
  • Provide advanced clinical support and leadership through evidence-based practice and professional development, service planning and delivery, and quality initiatives.
  • Evaluate service outcomes with specific indicators and benchmarking and apply appropriate change management strategies as required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to promote, undertake and support research activities to support improved client care and best practice.
