Your new role:

As a Finance Officer, you'll deliver accounting, budgeting and financial reporting services, maintain general ledger integrity, support month-end and annual financial processes, and provide trusted financial advice to a diverse range of stakeholders. Working within a collaborative team, you'll contribute to continuous improvement while helping ensure sound financial management across Princess Alexandra Hospital.

About you:

You're a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys turning financial data into meaningful insights while building strong relationships and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. You will have: 

  • Demonstrated experience in accounting, budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and solve problems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using financial systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach to stakeholder support.
  • Well-organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

Finance Services provides expert financial leadership, governance and business support to help Metro South Health deliver high-quality, sustainable healthcare. The team delivers budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, business analysis, revenue management and private practice services that support informed decision-making across the health service.
