About Your Role

As an Enrolled Nurse in Yugaipa Ward, you'll play an important role in delivering safe, compassionate and evidence-based care to people experiencing acute mental health challenges.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver person-centred nursing care under the guidance of Registered Nurses.
  • Build therapeutic relationships with consumers, families and carers.
  • Support recovery-focused care planning and evaluation.
  • Monitor, document and communicate clinical observations accurately.
  • Promote patient safety, quality care and infection prevention practices.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary mental health team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.
  • Mentor and support Assistants in Nursing where appropriate.
  • Utilise Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and clinical systems effectively.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development.

About You

You're a compassionate Enrolled Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about supporting people experiencing mental illness.

You'll bring:

  • Current NMBA registration as an Enrolled Nurse with medication endorsement.
  • A genuine interest in mental health and addiction nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • A commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused care.
  • Sound clinical judgement within your scope of practice.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Knowledge of quality, safety and evidence-based practice.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic acute inpatient environment.
