About the work unit / facility:

The Neonatal Unit delivers level 6 tertiary neonatal care and speacialist services fro newborn infants across North Queensland. As the only tertiary neonatal service outside South East Queensland, the unit coordinates the Advanced Neonatal Transport Service - North Queensland (ANTS-NQ), providing speacialist retrieval, and transport for criticall ill newborns.

Competitive salary and benefits:

  • Salary range: $139,951 to $151,949 p.a. (NG7)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Uniform and district allowances may apply
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity:

As the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Neonatal Retrievals, you will provide strategic clinical leadership and advanced neonatal expertise to deliver specialised retrieval services for criitically ill newborns across North Queensland.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and proof of registration (AHPRA)
  • Class C driver's licence.
  • Participation in an on-call roster.
  • Travel is required.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
