The Integrated Medicine, Emergency and Child & Youth Services is a large and dynamic division within Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare across a broad range of medical, emergency and paediatric services. The division operates within a fast-paced environment and is supported by dedicated administrative and clinical teams who work collaboratively to ensure effective service delivery, operational excellence and positive patient outcomes.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will….
- Identify, develop and implement systems and procedures to improve new work practices and the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Offices of the Directors to ensure organisational consistency.
- Provide efficient secretarial and logistical support to committees, working groups and events/functions including Clinical Service Team Meetings and Divisional meetings as directed by your manager. This may include the coordination of meetings, preparation of agendas, minute taking, record keeping and organising catering.
- Acquire and maintain a broad understanding of the political and social environment and maintain current knowledge relating to the Department of Medicine and matters affecting the management of the Division/Hospital and Health Service.
