What you'll do  

  • Assist with managing strategic ICT contracts in accordance with the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework including developing and executing contract management plans and associated artefacts; outcome and benefits reporting; maintaining effective stakeholder consultation and actively resolving issues.
  • Draft, develop, negotiate, and execute Queensland Information Technology Contracting contracts for the supply of ICT products and services.
  • Provide high-level advice to clients in a relevant, timely and accurate manner on matters relating to the contract management and procurement related functions.
  • Plan procurement processes, draft sourcing documentation, manage release and evaluation processes.
  • Develop, implement, and effectively manage review of supplier management and contract improvement strategies.
  • Advise, guide and mentor branch staff on State and department procurement and contract management policies and practices, internal branch processes and templates used to deliver ICT procurement and contract management services to clients.
  • Maintain a detailed digital record of ICT procurement processes, decisions and contractual arrangements, which meet prescribed requirements of legislation and related probity, accountability and audit policies.
  • Ensure procurement processes are in accordance with the Queensland Procurement Policy and department policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and periodic review of procurement systems, strategies, policies and processes.

About you  

We are searching for someone who has:  

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing contemporary procurement and contract management strategies, policies and practices particularly in relation to ICT. (SFIA: PROC Level 5)
  • Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills to identify and analyse issues and develop quality options and strategies to resolve complex ICT procurement and contract management issues (SFAI: SURE Level 4)
  • Well-developed ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members and stakeholders. (NHS: Collaborative Working)
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality ICT procurement outcomes and manage conflicting priorities and tight timeframes.
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, including the ability to advise and influence clients and senior management on complex ICT procurement and contract management issues (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing).
