Your new role:
Join the Metro South Health Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) Support Unit as a Clinical Nurse, where you will play a key role in delivering compassionate, person-centred specialist nursing care to patients accessing voluntary assisted dying services across Metro South Health.
- Provide expert clinical leadership, assessment, care planning and coordination for patients receiving VAD services, ensuring safe, high-quality and evidence-based care.
- Work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, offering advanced clinical expertise, critical thinking and professional guidance to support complex patient care.
- Contribute to service excellence through quality improvement, education, clinical governance, research and the ongoing development of best practice.
About you:
You are an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care and supporting individuals through complex healthcare journeys with professionalism, empathy and respect.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), with significant clinical experience and the ability to work confidently in complex care environments.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously while fostering strong multidisciplinary partnerships.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, education and quality care, with the ability to contribute to service development and mentor others.
