The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Senior Director (Technology Operations) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Lead the Technology Operations team supporting the delivery of core front line ICT technologies, applications, and services
  • Manage the planning, development, and implementation of digital, information and data services strategies
  • Engage and influence organisational priorities to deliver the digital strategy that underpins GCHHS's digital healthcare journey
  • Partner with stakeholders and lead Technology Operations in the delivery of digital transformation initiatives
  • Responsible for the management of strategic risk as it relates to information technology

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
  • Highly desirable: Possession of a bachelor's degree in a clinical digital specialty, information technology, or a related field tertiary qualification or equivalent eligibility
  • Highly desirable: Minimum five years of experience in a hospital setting; with at least three years in a complex tertiary referral health care system

  • Permanent full time
  • Base salary ranging from $179,569 - $193,698 per annum
