About us:

Mount Morgan Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS) is a modern, integrated rural healthcare service located just 40 km from Rockhampton. With 20 beds across acute and residential care, emergency resuscitation facilities and a broad range of outpatient and community health services, MPHS delivers comprehensive care close to home.

From emergency treatment and inpatient care to aged care, rehabilitation, general practice, allied health, diagnostic imaging and Telehealth, the service supports the diverse health needs of the local community. Guided by Primary Health Care principles, the team works collaboratively to provide accessible, person-centred care where it matters most.

About the role:

  • Deliver high-quality administrative support across Reception, Bookings, Finance, Medical Records and Ward services, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, managing enquiries, appointments and communication with patients, staff and external agencies in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Coordinate and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines, maintain accurate records and support the smooth delivery of healthcare services.
  • Support clinical leadership and visiting services, providing administrative assistance to the Director of Nursing, Medical Superintendent, community programs and multidisciplinary teams.

About you:

  • Experience in administration or reception, with a qualification in office or government administration would be highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks, meet deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism, confidentiality, integrity and the ability to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Proven administrative and problem-solving abilities, with experience across areas such as reception, bookings, finance, medical records and ward administration.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare information systems, with accurate and efficient data entry and keyboard skills.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $100,585 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.46 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
