About your opportunity

Join a leading tertiary radiology service and play an integral role in delivering high-quality diagnostic and interventional radiology services to patients across North Queensland.

In this role, you will provide specialist radiology services across a broad range of imaging modalities within a busy tertiary referral environment. You will perform Tier A and Tier B interventional procedures, participate in diagnostic reporting, and contribute to the delivery of safe, contemporary and patient-centred care.

Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will partner with medical, nursing, allied health and support staff to achieve exceptional patient outcomes. You will also play an important role in the teaching, supervision and development of registrars, fellows and junior medical staff.

This role offers opportunities to contribute to research, clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development while supporting the delivery of high-quality imaging services. Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification registrable with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Successful completion of the Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) Part II Examination, or equivalent.
  • Candidates who do not hold full specialist registration with AHPRA will be appointed as Registrars until specialist registration is obtained.
