The role:
Queensland Health recognises that progressing our digital health strategy is an essential part of our ongoing commitment to delivering safe, effective, and accessible healthcare to all Queenslanders. This role is required to assist with the delivery of a large-scale complex IM/ICT projects within the Enterprise VNA project team.
Digital Health & Business Solutions delivers large scale complex ICT projects in the area of enabling clinical digital health capability. This includes onboarding the integrated electronic Medical Record (ieMR) across state-wide major hospitals and enhancements to the ieMR; implementing the Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS) and the delivery of the Infrastructure Maintenance Program (IMP) which is uplifting digital hospital ICT infrastructure. The Enterprise VNA project is a new project in the DHBS portfolio that has been established to support Clinical Imaging within Queensland Health.
As a Principal Business Analyst, you will play a key role in leading and managing the analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, and evaluation of both current and future state business processes within a complex digital system in a clinical healthcare environment. You will lead the establishment of new services, ensuring a smooth transition to business-as-usual operations.

To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Experience in leading and managing business analysis activities within IM/ICT projects preferably in the health care industry.
- Proven experience leading business process modelling activities for large organisations, preferably using Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN).
- High level of knowledge of and the ability to provide advice on the application of appropriate business analysis techniques, methodologies, and tools preferably aligned with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge Version 3.0 (BABOK) is essential.
- Ability to lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders including mentoring other business analysts within the organisation.
The following experience will be highly regarded:
- Demonstrated knowledge and prior experience working within an clinical imaging environment, with a proven track record of leading large-scale, complex digital system implementations in a clinical healthcare setting.
While experience in health care is not a mandatory requirement, we highly value candidates who have demonstrated relevant experience in clinical systems, health IT, or digital health.
