Your new role:

As the Nurse Practitioner – Urology, you will provide autonomous, advanced clinical care within the QEII Urology Nurse-Led Service, supporting patients across prostate, renal and bladder management. Working collaboratively with Urology Consultants, registrars and the broader multidisciplinary team, you will lead comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment and care coordination while contributing to the ongoing development of innovative, evidence-based models of care.

  • Deliver specialist care across inpatient and outpatient settings, including urological oncology surveillance, lower urinary tract symptoms, post-operative assessment and continence management.
  • Lead quality improvement, clinical audit, research and service development initiatives.
  • Support education, mentoring and professional development of nurses and other healthcare professionals.

About you:

You are an experienced and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner with advanced clinical expertise in urology and a passion for delivering contemporary, evidence-based and person-centred care. You will bring the confidence to practise autonomously, the leadership capability to influence change and the ability to build strong collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience within the specialty of urology nursing.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring, education and professional development of others.
  • Experience collecting, analysing and reporting clinical or service data to drive improvement.
  • A commitment to research, clinical excellence and the ongoing advancement of urology practice.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.

We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
