Your new role:
As a Compliance Officer, you'll work alongside Environmental Health Officers to deliver compliance and enforcement activities under public health legislation. You'll conduct inspections, investigate suspected breaches, gather evidence, prepare reports and briefs for legal proceedings, and collaborate with agencies including the Queensland Police Service and other regulatory partners. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys field-based work, applying legislation, and contributing to safer, healthier communities.
About you:
You're a motivated and adaptable compliance professional with a passion for protecting public health, applying legislation and delivering fair, evidence-based regulatory outcomes. You will have:
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations and enforcement procedures.
- Strong investigation, evidence-gathering and report writing skills with high attention to detail.
- Confident communicator who builds productive relationships with stakeholders and partner agencies.
- Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in the field.
- Committed to continuous learning, with a willingness to complete authorised officer and government investigation training
