About the role

The Social Worker, Midwifery and Paediatric Navigation provides specialised psycho-social support to mothers, children and families from the Torres and Cape region while they access health care in Cairns. Working as part of the Navigation Services team, the role delivers culturally responsive, early intervention support, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to improve health and wellbeing during pregnancy and the first 3,000 days of life, and provides expert advice on parenting, child wellbeing, and child protection responsibilities.
