About the role

This role provides expert clinical advice, leadership and operational management to support exceptional care for Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS) consumers. It leads the day-to-day delivery of Occupational Therapy clinical services, research and clinical education, while also providing strategic direction and operational planning. The role works in alignment with the professional leadership team across Metro North to strengthen service quality, research and education outcomes.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide expert level Occupational Therapy clinical and consultancy services, utilising advanced level clinical judgement informed by evidence-based practice, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, to the delivery of STARS clinical services.
  • Deliver advanced occupational therapy clinical services of a complex and varied nature for rehabilitation including generalist and specialist rehabilitation across STARS in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards..
  • Resolve large-scale, complex STARS clinical service or workflow problems through recognised expertise and high-level interpretation of existing health service systems, Occupational Therapy professional standards and other considerations.
