About the role

This permanent role provides advanced nursing care for patients presenting with chest pain in the Emergency Department at The Prince Charles Hospital. Using high-level clinical skills in assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation, the role supports timely, evidence-based care and improved patient outcomes. Working collaboratively with the interprofessional team, the position also leads and supports nurse-led models of care while remaining responsive to service and consumer needs.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Demonstrate autonomy, accountability, and competence for expanded practice in providing client-focused care within a nursing model including advanced health assessment of consumer's/patient's clinical condition, development, and implementation of appropriately documented management plan.
  • Provide specialist nursing interventions that demonstrate an expanded level of nursing knowledge and skills in the practice area of
  • Provide advanced clinical support and leadership through evidence-based practice and professional development, service planning and delivery, and quality initiatives.
  • Evaluate service outcomes with specific indicators and benchmarking and apply appropriate change management strategies as required.
