Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) is seeking an exceptional Director of Midwifery to provide strategic, professional and operational leadership across our maternity services. As the senior midwifery leader within THHS, you will influence service delivery at scale, lead innovation, champion clinical excellence, and drive contemporary models of woman and family-centred care.
Working alongside executive, medical and nursing leaders, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on health outcomes across North Queensland while leading a highly skilled and passionate workforce.

- Salary range: $7768.50 p.f. (Nurse Grade 12)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
- Midwifery Model of Care – Continuity of care caseload model working within the local agreement as per Nursing and Midwifery Award. Appointees will be required work on-call and benefit from an annualised salary.
- On-call: Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call
- Driver Licence: This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle.
- Travel: This position may be required to travel to (via small planes or ferry), and work at, other facilities located within the THHS, e.g., participate in clinical activities or meetings for planning, quality, performance and education. This may involve day and/or overnight stays. The successful applicant must be able to commit to this requirement.
