The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Mental Health - Continuing Care Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide efficient and responsive community mental health nursing care at a professional level
- Work collaboratively as a member of the multidisciplinary team and actively participate in and contribute to the functioning of the team
- Participate in clinical practice supervision with senior staff, as required
- Contribute to activities that evaluate and ensure the effective functioning of the service
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing)
- A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (60.8 hrs p.f)
- Base salary ranging from $57.76 - $61.85 per hour

The Continuing Care Team provide recovery focused, to consumers with complex and enduring mental illness with co-morbid bio-psycho-social needs. Continuing Care Team provide services in conjunction with non-government and government agencies to support consumer recovery. These services provide daily follow up for consumers living in the community to support them to remain within their home setting. It is the aim of this service to offer a recovery-oriented approach that is person-centred, strengths based, collaborative and empowering. There is an emphasis on consumer choice, building resilience and enhancing opportunities for social inclusion.
