Your new role:

As a Senior Pharmacy Assistant, you'll support pharmacists in delivering high-quality medicines management services across Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals while contributing to safe, efficient and patient-centred care by:

  • Preparing, dispensing and supplying medicines under pharmacist supervision.
  • Assisting with controlled drug management, inventory control and stock rotation.
  • Supporting the storage, distribution and timely delivery of pharmaceutical items across hospital sites.
  • Repacking and labelling medicines in accordance with quality and legislative requirements.
  • Contributing to quality improvement activities, data collection and pharmacy service development.
  • Assisting with staff training, mentoring and maintaining high professional standards.
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team while ensuring safe and effective pharmacy services.

About you:

You are a motivated and reliable pharmacy professional who enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare environment with:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices, medicines legislation and pharmaceutical terminology.
  • Experience supporting pharmacy operations, including inventory and imprest management.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • A commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work and continuously improving services.
  • The ability to work independently once trained while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Relevant Certificate III qualifications (or willingness to complete mandatory requirements where applicable).
