Your new role:
As the Nursing/Midwifery Director – Strategic Programs, you will provide strategic leadership for organisation-wide programs that drive clinical reform, strengthen governance and improve patient outcomes across Metro South Health.
- Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of strategic Clinical Network programs that deliver integrated, evidence-based models of care.
- Provide expert strategic advice to executives while driving clinical and corporate governance, workforce planning and program delivery.
- Build strong partnerships across nursing, midwifery, multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders to influence system-wide change.
- Champion innovation, research, workforce capability and continuous improvement to achieve sustainable healthcare outcomes.
About You:
You are an accomplished nursing or midwifery leader with the vision and expertise to lead complex strategic programs across a large health service.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale strategic programs, clinical reform and organisational transformation.
- Extensive knowledge of nursing and/or midwifery governance, workforce planning, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence executive decision-making.
- Proven ability to analyse complex clinical, workforce and financial information to deliver strategic outcomes and improve patient care.

Operating across the health system, the team partners with executives, clinical leaders and external stakeholders to lead complex, multi-disciplinary programs that enhance performance, optimise models of care and strengthen service sustainability to deliver better outcomes for patients, staff and the community. The unit provides leadership and supports strategic planning, governance, partnership development and performance oversight, ensuring sustained alignment with MSH priorities and broader state and national health directions.
