About the role

The Service Improvement & Support Officer provides high-level administrative, analytical and project support within Cancer Care Services at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. The role is focused on identifying, coordinating and implementing service improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency, quality and responsiveness of administrative systems and processes that support the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred healthcare.

The successful candidate will work closely with administrative and clinical stakeholders to analyse service performance, support quality improvement activities, contribute to project delivery and strengthen administrative practices across Cancer Care Services. The role also plays an important part in performance reporting, process optimisation, change implementation and continuous improvement initiatives that support positive outcomes for patients, consumers and staff.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Collect, analyse and interpret data to support service performance monitoring, quality improvement initiatives and informed decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative workflows, processes and systems, and contribute to the implementation of sustainable improvements.
  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of service improvement and administrative reform projects, including stakeholder engagement and reporting activities.
  • Provide advice, guidance and change management support to administrative teams while promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Develop positive working relationships with stakeholders and contribute to the development of procedures, training resources and process documentation that enhance service delivery.
