Queensland Health Linen Services is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Production Manager to drive operational excellence, lead high-performing teams, and help deliver essential healthcare services across the state.
This is not a traditional laundry role. Every week, our facilities process between 450 – 500 tonnes of critical healthcare textiles, supporting hospitals and healthcare services across Southeast Queensland. Our operations utilised sophisticated automated sorting, washing, drying, finishing and logistics systems that operate within a highly regulated healthcare environment where reliability, quality and service performance are paramount.
As Production Manager, you will take ownership of a large-scale, high-volume production environment, ensuring operational excellence, workforce engagement, safety, asset performance and customer service outcomes.
The Opportunity
You will lead production teams within a complex manufacturing style operation where technology, automation and continuous improvement combine to deliver essential services to Queensland's public health system.
Working alongside site leadership, maintenance and client services teams you will coordinate production activities across multiple shifts, optimise workflow, respond to operational challenges and drive performance against ambitious production targets.
About you
You bring demonstrated experience in managing large scale operational, manufacturing or processing environments and possess:
- Strong production leadership
- Experience leading teams in fast paced operational setting
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills
- Good financial acumen
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
- Confidence working with production data, workforce planning and operational reporting
- A passion for developing people and building high performance cultures
Why join us?
Queensland Health Linen Services operates one of the largest healthcare textile processing facilities in the state, supplying critical linen services to hospitals.
This is an opportunity to build a career in an organisation where your leadership directly impacts patient care, healthcare delivery and operational excellence at scale.
You'll be joining a technically advanced, future focused operation that continue to invest in automation, innovation, workforce development and service improvement.
If you're ready to lead a large-scale production operation where every day brings real challenges, real impact and real opportunities to improve performance, we'd love to hear from you.
