About us:
The Quality and Safety Division partners closely with clinical teams across Central Queensland Health to make care safer, more effective and truly person-centred. Working “at the elbow” of clinicians and staff, the Division turns data, evidence and insights into practical improvements that strengthen patient outcomes, staff capability and organisational performance.
From clinical governance and compliance to safety reporting, consumer engagement and performance monitoring, the team helps embed a culture of learning and continuous improvement. Through a Safety-II approach, it looks beyond what goes wrong to understand what goes right - building stronger, more resilient systems and supporting CQ Health to continually raise the standard of care.
About the role:
- Provide high-quality administrative support across the Clinical Governance, Quality and Safety Division and Central Queensland Health, including correspondence, reports, minutes, data entry, records and general clerical duties.
- Coordinate policies, procedures and health service documents, including formatting, publishing, version control and review processes.
- Deliver organised, reliable and confidential administration, using sound judgement, initiative and discretion while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Build positive working relationships through clear communication, customer-focused service and a collaborative approach with colleagues, clinicians and external stakeholders.
- Adapt and contribute to a culture of quality and safety, working autonomously while supporting team goals, continuous improvement and the broader needs of the Health Service.
About you:
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to establish work priorities to meet deadlines without the need for direct supervision in a changing environment.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the possession of tact, diplomacy, discretion and excellent customer service in dealing with staff and the public.
- Competent in the use of contemporary word processing, spread sheeting, database and other information systems ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $8,423 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $40.17 - $44.67 p.h.
