Your new role:

As a Clinical Nurse, you will use your advanced clinical knowledge, critical thinking and leadership skills to coordinate and deliver comprehensive care to patients with complex needs across a busy and diverse Emergency Department. You will work autonomously while providing clinical leadership, supporting the nursing team and contributing to education, quality improvement, research and service development.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide advanced, person-centred emergency nursing care to patients with complex and diverse clinical needs.
  • Provide clinical leadership, expert assessment, care coordination, delegation and support to the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Support the education, mentoring and professional development of nursing staff and students.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, clinical audits, research, risk management and implementation of evidence-based practice.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with strong Emergency Nursing knowledge and the confidence to provide clinical leadership in a fast-paced environment. You will bring sound clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and evidence-based care.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience in Emergency Nursing practice.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, problem-solving and care coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership, effectively delegate and support the development of others.
  • A commitment to person-centred care, evidence-based practice, quality improvement and positive patient outcomes.

Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital:

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.

We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
