About us:
Central Queensland Health's (CQ Health's) Workforce and Organisation Capability play an integral role in the effective management of the people resources for our service. The Division takes the lead role in the attraction, retention, learning and development, performance, discipline, change management, safety and well-being, and engagement of our most important asset - “our people”.
The Workforce and Organisation Capability Unit comprises approximately 40 human resource practitioners who provide a high quality, client focused and value adding human resource service to management and staff throughout the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
About the role:
- Lead and support Roster Support Officers through supervision, mentoring, coaching and professional guidance.
- Improve rostering processes and practices by promoting efficiency, compliance, accurate resource allocation and reducing duplicated administrative work.
- Provide second-level rostering support to line managers, troubleshooting system issues and working with Corporate Enterprise Solutions to resolve queries and ensure compliance.
- Build team capability and knowledge by identifying skill gaps, sharing knowledge and developing and delivering training and upskilling opportunities.
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes, providing advice on rostering policies and procedures while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
About you:
- Strong knowledge of electronic rostering systems, with Workbrain and/or myHR experience highly desirable, with demonstrated experience in rostering or payroll within a large, complex environment.
- Confident managing complex issues, using sound judgement, analysing problems and implementing practical solutions with limited direction.
- Able to identify knowledge and training gaps and contribute to developing resources and learning opportunities that build team capability.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide accurate rostering advice and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, particularly during organisational change.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $118,172 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $47.41 - $52.23 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
