Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $8511.50 to $10,791.60 p.f. (L18 -L27)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary)
- Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
- Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity:
The role of the Staff Specialist is to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit the patients / clients of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS). This includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future.
Lead and manage the provision of medical services in accordance with the standard of the speciality, the ethics of the profession and in accordance with the THHS and Queensland Health (QH) policies, in a hospital, community and outreach setting.
This position may require the incumbent to work at other facilities within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
Requirements:
- Possession of a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) qualifications or equivalent.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Respiratory and Sleep Studies) or equivalent.
- Skills in interventional bronchoscopy such as EBUS would be highly desirable.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
