About the role
Permanent full and/or part time to provide quality financial, business and operational support service to the Senior Finance Officer and Business Manager including provision of accurate and timely information, the provision of financial reports, investigations of data and maintenance of cost centre structures.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Analyse and present quality financial, staffing and patient activity data compared to targets, benchmarks and key indicators to highlight current performance and service enhancement issues to Department's Management Group representatives and cost centre managers.
- Analyse, report on and present timely staffing, expenditure and activity data, highlighting the current performance of Internal Medicine Services against budgets, targets and strategic goals. This would include preparing monthly comparative reports for cost centre managers and Departmental Directors.
- Provide active support to Internal Medicine Services cost centre managers to ensure budgets are devolved and managed at cost centre manager level within the Department in a cost-effective manner.
- Authorise purchase requisitions and VIM code for Internal Medicine Service as required within the position's approved delegation.
- Distribute costing and activity data for validation by Internal Medicine Services cost centre managers and ensure such data is accurately maintained.
