About us:

Renal Services span the Central Queensland and Central West regions, providing a comprehensive range of care through the Rockhampton Renal Hub and satellite services. From acute and chronic haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and renal transplantation to CKD management, outpatient clinics and home-based dialysis, the service supports patients across a wide geographic catchment. Services are delivered through Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Woorabinda, Gladstone and the Central West Renal Unit, ensuring people can access specialist renal care closer to home.

About the role:

  • Support senior renal nursing leadership and key stakeholders across multiple sites in CQHHS and CWHHS, helping deliver equitable care closer to home.
  • Use strong clinical judgement, evidence-based practice and patient-centred care to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate safe, effective renal nursing care.
  • Contribute to policies, audits, incident investigations, risk management and continuous improvement, ensuring safe and reliable services.
  • Support education, professional development and a positive learning environment, while building clinical capability from novice through to advanced practice.
  • Work with patients, carers, multidisciplinary teams and external partners to improve services, respond to emerging needs and drive better outcomes.

About you:

  • Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration is essential, with postgraduate Renal qualifications highly regarded.
  • Bring advanced, evidence-based renal nursing knowledge, current clinical skills and experience in workforce and service coordination.
  • Demonstrate leadership and management capability across teams, including workforce engagement and the effective management of human, financial and material resources.
  • Build strong relationships, communicates clearly, handles conflict constructively and works cooperatively with colleagues and stakeholders across CQHHS and CWHHS.
  • Take ownership and pride in renal services, advocates for high-quality care, influences positive outcomes and uses sound judgement to support and strengthen service delivery.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $16,480 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $83.37 - $87.41 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
