We're excited to welcome a Senior Medical Education Officer to the Medical Education Unit team.
The Senior Medical Education Officer will be responsible for a portfolio of clinical training units, facilitation of education and support of prevocational doctors, with oversight from the Directors of Clinical Training.
The Medical Education Unit supports around 400 prevocational doctors in training, including their Orientation, Education, Wellbeing and Advocacy and accreditation of the training programs.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Identify the educational needs of medical staff in PGY 1 and PGY2 in accordance with Postgraduate Medical Council (PMC) accreditation standards, the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law 2009 (Queensland) and the AMC National Framework for Prevocational (PGY1 &PGY2) Medical Training (the AMC Framework).
- In conjunction with the Director of Clinical Training (or equivalent) develop, implement and evaluate the Prevocational Doctor Education and Training Programs, orientation and other medical education programs and activities within the facility consistent with adult learning principles, accreditation standards; and the AMC Framework
- Ensure that the management of pre-vocational doctors in the facility is consistent with approved accreditation standards and the AMC Framework;
- Identify prevocational doctors educational needs and develop, trial and evaluate educational resource material for prevocational doctor education and training programs;
Remuneration value up to $153 514 p.a., comprising salary between $124 756 - $134 548 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (PO4) (Fixed term temporary position available for 12 months maternity leave backfill).
