Your new role:
As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in delivering high-level, person-centred Social Work services across acute and palliative care, supporting patients and families through complex and often life-changing experiences.
- Deliver senior clinical Social Work services across acute and palliative care, including complex assessment, intervention, discharge planning, bereavement support and end-of-life care.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, providing high-level clinical advice and expertise to support safe, timely and holistic patient care.
- Provide clinical supervision, education and support to less experienced Social Workers, students and Allied Health Assistants, contributing to the development of the broader Social Work team.
- Contribute to service improvement, research, quality initiatives and evidence-based practice, helping to strengthen Social Work services across Logan and Beaudesert Health Service.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Social Worker who can bring strong clinical expertise, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to a dynamic healthcare environment.
- You have demonstrated senior-level Social Work knowledge, skills and clinical expertise, with the ability to manage complex presentations and confidently prioritise competing clinical demands.
- You are a strong communicator who can work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, provide high-level clinical advice and build positive relationships with patients, families, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- You have the confidence and capability to support and develop others, including providing supervision, education and guidance to less experienced practitioners and students.
- You are committed to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement, with the ability to identify, develop and evaluate initiatives that enhance patient care and Social Work service delivery.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
