What your day could look like
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you'll play a key role in ensuring strong financial stewardship across the health service. From delivering trusted financial reporting and governance outcomes to leading a capable team and partnering with senior stakeholders, you'll help support services that make a real difference to communities across the region.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Leading high-quality financial, taxation and statutory reporting outcomes that support informed decision-making and organisational accountability.
- Providing expert advice to leaders and key stakeholders on complex financial matters, governance requirements and compliance obligations.
- Driving improvements to financial processes, controls and systems that strengthen efficiency, integrity and long-term performance.
- Coaching and developing a skilled team while fostering strong partnerships across finance, operational areas and audit stakeholders.

- Strong experience in financial accounting, taxation and statutory reporting.
- Sound knowledge of accounting standards, compliance and governance.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have tertiary qualifications in accounting, membership of a recognised professional accounting body, and experience leading finance improvement initiatives in large service-based environments.
