Your new role:

As the Director of Clinical Performance and Business Analytics, you will provide strategic leadership in driving data-informed decision making, performance optimisation and analytics maturity across Metro South Health. You will:

  • Lead the Clinical Performance and Business Analytics team, championing innovative approaches to performance analysis, business intelligence, benchmarking and reporting.
  • Provide strategic leadership to strengthen organisational analytics capability and data maturity, supporting improved clinical and operational performance outcomes.
  • Partner with senior leaders and clinical stakeholders to integrate activity, costing, funding, performance measures and local service agreements to drive accountability and performance improvement.
  • Establish and oversee a strategic and business planning framework that connects organisational priorities with measurable performance outcomes and on-the-ground service delivery.

About you:

We are looking for a strategic leader who can translate complex healthcare data and performance insights into meaningful action and improved organisational outcomes. You will bring:

  • Strong strategic leadership and business planning capability, with a proven ability to develop and implement performance management frameworks, solve complex problems and translate strategic priorities into measurable operational outcomes.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively with clinicians, executives, professional groups and government stakeholders to achieve strategic priorities.
  • Senior management experience within a healthcare environment, with demonstrated expertise in using performance, activity, costing and benchmarking data to identify opportunities for improved clinical care, service efficiency and organisational performance.
  • Advanced expertise in health analytics, Activity Based Funding and business intelligence, complemented by experience leading reporting functions, developing performance dashboards and translating complex data into clear, evidence-based insights to support executive decision-making. Experience with contemporary platforms such as Power BI, data automation, artificial intelligence and modern data practices will be highly regarded.
