Your new role:

Join the Psychology Department at Logan Hospital and play an important role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological care to children, young people and their families. You'll work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team across paediatric health and neurodevelopmental services, with opportunities to:

  • Provide psychological assessment, intervention and brief therapy for children and young people experiencing complex health and emotional needs.
  • Conduct clinical and psychometric assessments for children with potential neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Work as part of the paediatric and diabetes multidisciplinary teams to support children living with chronic health conditions.
  • Provide clinical supervision, education and support to less experienced clinicians and psychology students.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, research and evidence-based clinical practice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Psychology, Allied Health and the wider multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

About you:

We're looking for a confident and compassionate psychologist who can bring sound clinical judgement, strong communication skills and a commitment to paediatric care. You'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience providing psychology services to children and families, including presentations of increasing complexity.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills relevant to paediatric, health, developmental and/or clinical psychology.
  • The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and provide high-level clinical advice.
  • Strong workload management, prioritisation and clinical documentation skills.
  • Experience providing supervision, training or support to less experienced practitioners and students.
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development and continuous service improvement.
  • Eligibility for general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA), with relevant postgraduate endorsement and approved supervisor status highly regarded.
