Your new role:
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care across a diverse range of emergency presentations. Working within a Level 5 Emergency Department, you will collaborate with nursing, medical and allied health teams to deliver high-quality care while continuing to develop your emergency nursing knowledge and skills.
The role may involve working across Logan Hospital, Eight Mile Plains Satellite Health Centre and Meadowbrook Health Centre.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based and person-centred nursing care to emergency patients.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care using clinical judgement and critical thinking.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Contribute to quality improvement, education, leadership and ongoing professional development.
About you:
You are a capable and compassionate Registered Nurse who can adapt to a fast-paced emergency environment and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. You are committed to ongoing learning and delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
Skills & experience
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the NMBA and a relevant tertiary qualification.
- Minimum 12 months' experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Emergency nursing experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, clinical decision-making, teamwork and patient-centred care skills.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
