Your new role:
Bring your advanced Occupational Therapy expertise to the Hands and Plastics service at Princess Alexandra Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide specialised clinical and consultancy services to consumers with hand and upper-limb injuries, using advanced clinical knowledge, independent professional judgement and clinical leadership to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
You will,
- Provide advanced assessment, treatment planning and specialised therapy for complex hand and upper-limb presentations.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring to Occupational Therapists, allied health assistants and students.
- Lead innovative quality improvement, clinical practice development, research and knowledge translation across Hand Therapy.
About you:
You are an experienced Occupational Therapist with advanced clinical expertise and a strong interest in specialist Hand Therapy. You will bring excellent communication and organisational skills, together with the confidence to provide clinical leadership and support the development of less experienced clinicians.
You have;
- Advanced clinical expertise and demonstrated capability in high-quality, patient-centred Occupational Therapy.
- Strong communication, organisation and clinical leadership skills, particularly within specialist practice.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and develop less experienced staff and support high-quality service outcomes.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
