About the role

As an Operational Services Officer, you'll provide essential support across multiple service areas within Mount Isa Hospital.

Working within a dynamic 24-hour, 7-day environment, you'll contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of hospital services while helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and efficient healthcare setting.

Requirements

  • The position may require successful applicants to undertake continuous shift work and to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster across all areas of operational services including Catering Services, Wardsperson, Laundry Services and Cleaning Services.
  • Physical ability to carry out frequent and repetitive lifting, manual handling of goods and patients.
  • Adhere to Uniform Dress code for the Health Service.
  • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
  • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
  • A period of probation may apply.
