Your new role:
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant – PReS, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist mental health expertise across acute inpatient services. You will play a key role in preventing and responding to aggression and occupational violence, supporting least restrictive practice and promoting safe, person-centred care.
- Provide rapid clinical response and expert support during aggression and occupational violence emergencies.
- Deliver advanced clinical consultancy, assessment and leadership across acute inpatient mental health services.
- Support staff through education, coaching, mentoring and clinical supervision in contemporary mental health practice.
- Lead quality improvement, evidence-based practice and initiatives that strengthen patient and staff safety.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced mental health nurse who can provide expert clinical leadership and confidently support teams in complex and challenging situations.
- Registered Nurse with current NMBA registration and relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in contemporary mental health and/or addiction nursing practice.
- Strong clinical judgement, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, support least restrictive practice and drive quality improvement.
