About the work unit:

The North Queensland Adolescent Forensic Mental Health Service (NQAFMHS) provides a range of services to support young people and their families who are involved with the Youth Justice System, or who are ‘at risk' of such involvement. Relatively high rates of mental illness are found in this population, and young people often do not engage with mental health services.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $144,991 to $151, 289 p.a. (HP5)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity:

The Team Leader is responsible for the operational management of the team. The Team Leader is the first point of contact around issues pertaining to human resources, workplace health and safety, workplace guidelines and procedures, service development and quality. The Team Leader can also be consulted on clinical issues if the Consultant Psychiatrist is not available.

All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the Service.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (if applicable).
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including Blue Card Checks.
