About the role:
As a Senior Biomedical Engineer, you will be an integral part of a team delivering high level biomedical engineering services related to the use and management of healthcare technology.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Provide and coordinate high level biomedical engineering advisory services to clinical departments in relation to the management of health technologies and Australian Standards requirements in the health care environment.
- Provide high-level advisory services and oversight in relation to health technology safety.
- Lead clinical equipment incident investigation and other health technology related safety and quality initiatives.
- Provide technical services including repairs, planned maintenance, installation, commissioning and other support for healthcare technology.
- Provide high-level training and education to medical officers, nurses, health practitioners and other equipment users in the correct operation, user maintenance, and safe use of healthcare technology.
- Provide supervision, training and support to fellow team members, including clinical practice supervision.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, equipment suppliers, service providers, team members and managers, to achieve service delivery objectives.
