About us:
The Community Care Units provide medium to long-term mental health rehabilitation in a supportive residential setting, helping adults aged 18–65 build the confidence, skills and independence needed to transition back into community living.
Residents receive practical support with wellbeing and medication management, daily living, community access, social connections, and returning to work or study. The team also supports families and carers and connects residents with additional services. The facility includes 20 self-contained one-bedroom units, plus shared spaces for education, activities, meetings and family support.
About the role:
- Provide competent, evidence-based care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and within your scope of practice.
- Work with adults experiencing severe and enduring mental illness, providing individualised support throughout their recovery journey.
- Partner with the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, reliable care and adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Apply nursing knowledge across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, while continually developing skills and contributing to quality improvement.
About you:
- Registered as an Enrolled Nurse with the NMBA via AHPRA, with competent clinical knowledge and skills.
- A sound understanding of recovery-focused mental health care and the ability to support adults experiencing mental illness.
- Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and build partnerships with government and non-government services.
- Capable of delivering routine adult mental health care while confidently managing time and prioritising competing demands.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $91,510 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $39.11 - $40.45 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
