The role:
The MHAOD ieMR project will design a fit-for-purpose integrated electronic Medical Record (ieMR) solution for Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (MHAOD) services and implement it within an established ieMR Hospital and Health Service. The project will support a single integrated patient record, improve information sharing and continuity of care, and establish a foundation for future statewide expansion.
The Business Analyst will support the project team by analysing current and future workflows, gathering and documenting business and system requirements, and maintaining requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Working with clinicians, technical teams and other stakeholders, the role will help translate user needs into practical, fit-for-purpose solutions and support their design, configuration and implementation.Your key responsibilities will include
- Assist with the development of business and software requirements specifications for IM/ICT projects, ensuring traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Interpret business and user requirements and research possible application of the information systems solution to optimise local and enterprise-wide business outputs.
- Assist with the collation and analysis of ‘As-Is' and ‘To-Be' business process models using approved methods and tools.
- Develop quality written analysis documentation.
- Liaise with other Queensland Health teams to ensure business/software requirements are incorporated and fit for purpose

To secure this role your application should outline your expertise delivering business process modelling activities as well as your knowledge of appropriate business analysis frameworks, and an ability to promote and provide advice on use of appropriate techniques, methodologies and tools, preferably aligned with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge Version 3.0.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate well-developed interpersonal and communication skills which will allow you to negotiate & consultant effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Proven experience working as a consultant or the ability to acquire consultancy skills in a short period of time would be advantageous.
