About Your Role
In this role, you will provide advanced nursing leadership and drive strategic business practice improvement across the Metro South Patient Flow Program, helping create safer, more efficient patient journeys.
- Lead and support clinical redesign, service improvement and targeted projects that improve patient flow, access, capacity and patient outcomes across complex healthcare environments.
- Analyse and interpret data from multiple sources, using performance reporting, trending and benchmarking to identify opportunities, inform decision-making and drive sustainable improvement.
- Develop, implement and evaluate systems, processes, policies and quality initiatives that support operational performance, clinical governance and best practice.
- Collaborate with senior leaders, multidisciplinary teams and clinical and operational stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into practical initiatives and influence sustainable change.
About You
We are looking for an innovative and strategic Nurse Manager who combines advanced clinical knowledge with strong business improvement, analytical and leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of patient flow strategies, healthcare service improvement and clinical redesign within complex healthcare environments.
- Bring strong data analysis and performance reporting skills, with the ability to interpret trends, benchmark performance and translate insights into measurable improvements.
- Demonstrate advanced communication, negotiation, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence diverse clinical, operational and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Have proven experience leading improvement projects and translating strategic priorities into practical initiatives that deliver sustainable outcomes.

Princess Alexandra Hospital:
The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
