What you'll do
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching and mentorship to the Digital Strategic Partnerships team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative and customer-focused culture.
- Lead the team's planning, prioritisation and delivery of strategic initiatives that support Queensland Health's digital health agenda and organisational objectives.
- Provide authoritative strategic advice and support to senior executives on digital health, information management and national reform initiatives.
- Lead the development of high-quality briefings, submissions, correspondence, presentations and other strategic documentation for executive and government decision-making.
- Build, maintain and strengthen productive relationships with key state, national and industry stakeholders to advance Queensland Health's strategic priorities.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, consultation and partnership activities to identify opportunities and influence outcomes that benefit Queensland Health and the broader health system.
- Coordinate and oversee complex, time-critical responses to internal and external requests, ensuring alignment with departmental priorities and strategic objectives.
- Lead Queensland Health's contributions to national digital health initiatives, funding submissions and inter-jurisdictional programs.
- Represent Queensland Health at state and national committees, forums and working groups, providing strategic leadership and influencing outcomes.
- Monitor emerging issues, trends and opportunities across the digital health landscape and provide informed advice to support decision-making and future planning.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead, develop and motivate a high-performing team, manage competing priorities, and deliver strategic outcomes in a complex environment.
- Proven expertise in providing strategic advice on digital health, information management, ICT or related policy and reform initiatives, including the ability to analyse complex issues and influence decision-making.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate and negotiate effectively with senior executives, government agencies, industry partners and national bodies.
- Strong understanding of the digital health environment and demonstrated ability to identify strategic opportunities, influence reform initiatives and deliver outcomes through effective partnerships.
