Your new role:

As part of the Administration Training Unit, you'll help ensure Administration Services staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform their roles safely and effectively. You'll combine your passion for training with strong communication, digital systems knowledge and a commitment to quality.

Identify training needs and design engaging learning resources and activities.

  • Deliver flexible training through classroom, rolling and one-on-one sessions.
  • Assess competency, provide feedback and support staff to achieve learning outcomes.
  • Maintain data integrity and support the Metro South Health Learning Management System.
  • Provide guidance on hospital information systems, administrative processes and patient information.
  • Develop communications and resources to support system updates and process improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with staff and stakeholders while responding to queries and supporting best practice.

About you:

You're a confident and engaging trainer who can adapt your approach to different learners and environments. You'll bring strong communication and presentation skills, a quality-focused mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across a busy healthcare setting.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering learner-focused training.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills across a range of audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and computerised systems.
  • The ability to quickly develop knowledge of hospital systems and patient databases.
  • A collaborative, flexible and customer-focused approach to your work.

About us:

The primary function of Administration Services is to provide and coordinate a diverse range of administrative services that support the Clinical Divisions in the delivery of client centred health care.  Services provided by Administration Services include professional leadership of the administrative staff supporting patients and clinicians, specific Administration Training, Administration Projects, Elective Admissions and Transit Care support, Switchboard Services, Metro South Interpreter Services, and Metro South Travel Services
