About us:

Biloela Hospital provides a broad range of hospital and visiting specialist services to the Biloela and Banana region and is growing as the Banana hub for emergency, maternity, diagnostic and surgical care. With investment in Telehealth, the hospital is expanding access to specialist services closer to home.

The Gladstone and Banana Allied Health Clinical Network brings together Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology and Social Work, delivering both generalist services and specialised care in developmental paediatrics and cancer care.

About the role:

  • Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy across inpatient, outpatient and community settings, managing patients across the continuum of care and varying levels of complexity.
  • Provide physiotherapy services across the Banana region, including outreach to Moura, Theodore and Baralaba, supporting access to care across rural communities.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team and, where appropriate, use a transdisciplinary model and skill-sharing approach to provide flexible, patient-focused care.
  • Contribute to supervision, education, research, quality improvement and service development, while supporting students, Allied Health Assistants and less experienced physiotherapists.

About you:

  • A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • Generalist physiotherapy knowledge and skills across all ages and the full continuum of care, including inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
  • The ability to work with initiative and autonomy, manage competing priorities and adapt to changing clinical needs while contributing effectively to the team.
  • A willingness to undertake professional development, seek guidance in complex situations and provide support to less experienced staff and students.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with patients, families, colleagues and other stakeholders.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $8,837 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $43.97 - $58.59 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
