The Townsville University Hospital Pharmacy provides safe and effective medication services, working with patients and clinical teams to support medication management and the appropriate use of medications.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary: $2624.50 to $2762.00 p.f. (Full-time) or $34.53 to $36.34 p.h. (Part-time) (CA3)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity:

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will support patient care within the weekend Pharmacy Service. Under supervision, you will assist with medication distribution, stock and prescription preparation. You will maintain pharmaceutical stock amd supply medications while working with pharmacy staff and patients.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy Assistant Certificate Level III in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support OR Community Pharmacy is highly desirable.
  • Successful completion of HLTPHA001 - Maintain Pharmaceutical Imprest/Ward Stock.
  • This position may include a seven-day extended hours roster.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
