Your new role:

As a Registered Nurse within the Clinical Research Facility, you'll provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care while working alongside Nursing, Allied Health and Medical teams to support clinical research and achieve best-practice outcomes. You'll have the opportunity to develop your research nursing expertise in a specialist environment supporting clinical research and trials.

  • Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based person-centred nursing care, using assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with an interprofessional team and contribute to the coordination of clinical care within the Clinical Research Facility.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, education and research activities, helping translate evidence into practice and identify opportunities to improve care.
  • Develop your expertise in research nursing, with opportunities to build knowledge and skills in clinical research patient care.
  • Take an active role in professional leadership, mentoring and supporting colleagues while contributing positively to the unit's culture and goals.

About you:

You're a Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and interested in developing or extending your career in clinical research. You'll bring sound clinical judgement, strong communication skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe, high-quality and compassionate person-centred care, supported by strong assessment, planning and clinical decision-making skills.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams, patients, families and carers.
  • Commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice and research, with a willingness to develop specialist research nursing skills.
  • Previous experience in research, oncology and/or critical care nursing would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in chemotherapy administration, venepuncture or peripheral IV cannula insertion would also be well regarded.

About us:

The Clinical Research Facility (CRF), established by the Translational Research Institute (TRI), the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) and their Partners, is a multi-use research centre situated at the PAH. The CRF has been designed to provide the specialist facilities and equipment needed by clinical researchers to help them to investigate the causes of disease, and to conduct research studies and clinical trials of new medicines and medical equipment.
