About the role

As a Dietitian Team Leader within Nutrition and Dietetics at The Prince Charles Hospital, you will provide strategic, operational and professional leadership to a team of dietitians and nutrition assistants. Combining advanced clinical expertise with strong leadership capabilities, you will guide service delivery, support workforce development and ensure high-quality nutrition and dietetic care across complex clinical programs.

You will play a key role in driving service improvement, quality and research initiatives, leading change management activities and contributing to organisational performance through evidence-based practice. In addition to providing advanced clinical services, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to shape the future direction of dietetic services and improve patient outcomes.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide strategic, operational and professional leadership to a team of dietitians and nutrition assistants, including workforce planning, performance management and staff development.
  • Deliver advanced nutrition and dietetic clinical and consultancy services across a range of complex clinical areas while providing expert clinical advice and direction.
  • Lead service improvement, quality and research initiatives, including the development, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based standards, policies and clinical practices.
  • Drive change management and service development activities across Nutrition and Dietetics and multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and service delivery.
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and education to dietitians, students, assistants and support staff while fostering professional growth and clinical excellence.
