About us:

Rockhampton Hospital is Central Queensland's major regional referral hospital, delivering specialist and acute care across a broad range of services including Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, Surgery, Paediatrics, Intensive Care, Mental Health and Women's Health.

The newly developed Cardiology Department is strengthening specialist cardiac care across the region, while visiting specialists from tertiary hospitals across Queensland add valuable expertise and collaboration. About the role:

  • Collect, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail accurately and on time across the Rockhampton Hospital campus.
  • Assist with patient records, filing systems, data entry and general administrative tasks.
  • Provide professional reception and telephone services to patients, clients and staff.
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative and support teams to keep day-to-day services running smoothly.
  • Handle information with confidentiality, use tact and discretion, meet deadlines and follow established procedures.

About you:

  • Experience in administration, customer service and computer-based systems will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to provide reliable, efficient administrative support with minimal supervision while handling sensitive information appropriately.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets, databases and other information systems.
  • Able to manage deadlines, competing priorities and changing demands while achieving agreed work goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across a multidisciplinary hospital environment.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $7,110 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $32.33 - $37.71 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
