The Headspace Centre in Emerald is on the lookout for their next Consultant Liaison Clinician to work closely with their in-house service provider. About us:
We're the Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, supporting more than 250,000 people across Rockhampton, the Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana. With services located across the region, we're never too far from the communities we support.
Rockhampton is our home base, housing our principal service centre, administration of the Mental Health Act 2016 and acute adult inpatient facilities. We're also proud to have an Adult Step-Up Step-Down facility in Gladstone and a Community Care Unit in Rockhampton, helping people access the right level of support throughout their mental health journey.
About the role:
- Be the connector. Work alongside Headspace to create a seamless experience for young people, making sure they get the right support.
- Bring your clinical know-how. Building strong relationships and provide consultation, clinical in-reach and support for young people with complex needs.
- Keep care moving. Help young people navigate their mental health journey by supporting smooth “step up” and “step down” referrals between Headspace and Queensland Health services.
- Make collaboration happen. Help bridge the gap between different services, teams and systems, navigating the quirks of interagency partnerships while keeping quality and safety standards front and centre.
About you:
- 🧠 You have the relevant qualifications and registration, plus strong clinical knowledge and experience in evidence-based assessment, diagnosis and treatment of young people.
- 🚀 Comfortable making independent clinical decisions, while navigating complex situations and thinking beyond the usual playbook.
- 💡 You bring initiative, fresh ideas and implement quality improvements that put young people, consumers and carers at the heart of what we do.
- 🗣️ An excellent communicator who can build strong relationships, bring people along with you and confidently provide expert advice to a wide range of stakeholders.
Mental Health Clinicians
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Registered Nurse (if applicable)
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $87,103 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $70.92 - $77.00 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
